How to Run Pretty Fast

So you want to be the first in a race? Spend half your time chasing your slipper in the dog's mouth? Then this might be your 'good page'.

STEPS :

1. Exercise your arms and legs and build up stamina. This is important so you have a stronger pace, and you can run quickly for a long time.
2. Tuck your elbows in and your hands flat so there is less friction to slow you down.
3. Keep the strides small. In a race, do not take huge strides. You should take small, quick steps to balance yourself before you run quickly.
4. When running take large but quick strides so you can cover distance very quickly.
5. Breathe properly. Get the timing right with breathing. Perhaps hold your breath for five seconds while you get balance, then breathe to 'two steps, in, two steps, out, two steps, in, two steps, out'.
6. Remember to exercise and eat properly.

TIPS :

* Stretch before you do this, so you don't strain your muscles
* Go to a page like How to Jump to exercise. Jumping also helps your legs exercise.

WARNINGS :

Don't use this around evil teachers - they don't seem to approve of you running in corridors.
